The annual London to Brighton off-road bike ride is a challenging 75 mile event, undertaken by 2,500 intrepid cyclists and staged to raise awareness and vital funds for the British Heart Foundation. This year, the team at Bonanza were delighted to be on hand to help, providing delicious and nutritious peanut butter both on the course and at the finish line.
Bonanza was founded with a clear aim; to deliver the tastiest and healthiest peanut butter possible. This has been achieved by using high oleic peanuts and just a pinch of salt in each jar, delivering a taste sensation and a nutritious boost for the body, making it the perfect pick me up for the cyclists, who were faced with not only a challenging course, but some dreadful weather too.
The wind and rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of anyone involved however as Sophie from our team explains:
“It was an amazing event and a real joy to be a part of it. I'm in awe of everyone that took part; it was a privilege to talk to many of the riders out on the course and then at the finish. Despite the weather, everyone got stuck in, and you’d have been hard pushed to find anyone complaining. The Bonanza team was stationed at the finish and at a rest stop before the infamous climb at Beeding Hill where I think the peanut butter went down much better than our words of encouragement!
The event is hugely important for the British Heart Foundation, a vitally important charity that does incredible work, so as a company with healthy eating and nutrition at our very core, we were delighted to be involved. It was inspiring to see a sea of muddy, tired but happy faces arriving at the finish line and it was a pleasure to be able to hand over a range of healthy Bonanza based snacks to so many hungry finishers”
Everyone here at Bonanza would like to pass on our congratulations to all those that took part, to all the volunteers that make the event such a success and to the British Heart Foundation for a superb occasion and their continued good work.
